Throughout the third quarter of 2024, Denmark's communication app landscape presented a diverse range of performances, with key players showing distinct trends in downloads, revenue, and active user metrics, as per data from Sensor Tower.

Messenger from Meta Platforms, Inc. experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, starting at $120 and peaking at $149 before dipping to $4 and eventually recovering to $98 by the end of September. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, hovering around 4.5K to 5.3K. The app maintained a strong base of weekly active users, with numbers slightly declining from 1.15M to about 1.10M.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained a significant presence with weekly downloads ranging from 6.8K to 8.7K. Active users increased steadily through the quarter, reaching over 2.8M in early August, before settling at around 2.5M by the end of September.

The Denmark-based mit.dk showed notable activity in downloads, especially with peaks at 11.9K in late August and 9.2K in late September. Weekly active users hovered just under 100K throughout the quarter, indicating a consistent user engagement.

Telegram from Telegram FZ-LLC saw a steady rise in revenue, starting at approximately $1.9K and climbing to over $6K by the end of the quarter. Downloads remained consistent, around the 5K mark, while active users experienced a slight increase, ending the quarter with about 145K users.
